Shining KinderKids

The end of the first quarter has quickly snuck up on us!  My kiddos have been working so hard learning the names and sounds of our letters, learning to read many new popcorn words, and practicing counting by ones to 100.  I am so proud of all they have accomplished!  At the end of the first quarter, there were several Kindergartners that reached some academic benchmarks so we had a little award ceremony for them.  It warmed my heart to hear the boys and girls cheer for each other.  I have such a special group of kids!! 

These kiddos earned the "Popcorn" Award for the first quarter.  They read all the popcorn words presented for the quarter.  The award consists of  some light buttered popcorn and instead of pop I substituted grape juice instead.  Congratulations Emily, Justyn, Korbin, Lily, Trevin, and Skylar!
