March Math and Literacy Stations

March Math Stations


Measuring with the Cat in the Hat - using standard (a ruler) and non-standard measurement (blocks) The measurements are then recorded on their paper.





 Addition with the Cat in the Hat --- boys and girls shake the dice and use counters to work the addition problems.  The math problems are recorded on the paper.





What's that coin?  Boys and girls take a coin from the bag.  They match the coin and record the value on their recording sheet.





Using dominoes to make addition problems.







Using the lambs and lions to count by twos to twenty and by fives to one hundred then recording the numbers.






March Literacy Stations

Sight word practice - The first spinner is the word the child will read and write.  The second spinner indicates if the child will write with a pencil, markers, or colored pencil.  If the spinner lands on the hat - it is student's choice!
