A Visit From A Veteran

Marcus Jannsen, a former Winside graduate and Marine, paid a special visit to the Winside Kindergarten.  The first graders joined us for this special presentation.  Mr.  Jannsen shared with the class the many duties of being a soldier.  He also brought along a special ceremonial sword.  The sword was decorated with symbols each with it's own meaning.  Mr. Jannsen then led the kiddos in some Marine style exercises.  A great way to start off our day!!!
