November Math Stations

November Math Stations are up and running. They rotate to a different station everday.   Here are my Kindergarten kiddos working on building up their Math Skills!!!!

Lily is working on beginning addition...adding the dots on two dice together and then recording her answer.

Another beginning addition activity only Emily is using dominoes...counting all the dots and parking it in the correct slot.  As always recording the answers for extra reinforcement.

Dane is measuring Thanksgiving food using cubes and links then recording his answers.  We do a lot of non-standard measurement in Kindergarten.

Korbin and Skylar are working on counting numbers into the teens and also using number recognition skills as they record their answers.

Justyn is practicing counting by tens to 100.

Korbin is working on counting by fives to 100.

Mace and Trevin are working on numbers in the teens with turkey counting.

Fall Friends

Ladies and Gentlemen I am pleased to introduce to you the scarecrows!!!!!  This was a family project I had sent home.  Each child took home a blank outline of the scarecrow with directions to decorate him with materials found at home.  I was so DELIGHTED at the creativity and I know you willl be too!!!!

This scarecrow is going fishing --- I LOVE it!!

A classroom art project was our turkey wind socks.  The kiddos used their handprints as the turkey wings.  They are so colorful.  The kids loved making them!!!!  Here are just a few....

Veteran's Day Art

To coincide with our mini unit on Veteran's Day the boys and girls made these adorable soldiers.  Thanks Deanna Jump for sharing this pattern!

Our Salute to Veteran's

To help celebrate Veteran's Day the boy's and girls could bring a picture of a friend or family member that had served or is currently serving in the Armed Forces.  The boys and girls were so very proud to share as well they should be.....

Rachelle shared a picture of her dad Rufus Sellin who served with the Army National Guard Transportation Unit out of Omaha in Iraq.  Coincidentally he served with my son-in-law David Gangwish!

Carter shared a picture of his Great Grandpa Lawrence J. Choylski.  Carter's Great Grandpa served in World War II and earned a Purple Heart.  (I couldn't get Carter's picture to rotate the right way no matter how many times I tried!!!!)

Emily shared a picture of her uncle Dan Jaeger.  Emily's Uncle Dan served in Korea and currently resides in Winside.

Korbin shared a picture of Uncle Ron Tietsort who was in the Air Force for 4 years.  He served in Pakistan and in Germany and he was a boxer in the Air Force.

Trevin shared a picture of his Uncle Louis Genereux.  He was a Sergeant in the US Marine Corps and is now a police officer.

Justyn shared  pictures and a Marine hat of family friend Marcus Jannsen.  He served with the US Marine Corps and currently resides in Winside.

Thank you for sharing and for all of those who have served!!!
